"Anyone who has lost track of time when using a computer knows the propensity to dream, the urge to make dreams come true and the tendency to miss lunch."

At UV Uptime, we understand that you want to know when something is wrong with your website and you want to know immediately. To ensure that happens, we offer a wide variety of alert notification options. And, unlike some of our competitors, we don't charge additional monthly fees for each type of notification you receive or charge you every time we send an alert. Below is a complete list of our notification options, all included in your monthly fee to use or not use at your desire:
Short Messaging Service (SMS) text messages are becoming the standard for text messaging around the world. Our SMS service reaches over 275 networks spanning more than 100 countries. SMS messages have a maximum of 160 characters so we detail the affected URL and the alert conditions in an especially concise manner. Most of our customers use this as their primary alert method combined with more detailed e-mail alerts.
E-mail alerts are the most detailed alerts we offer. We not only provide the affected URL, we also suggest possible causes of any present alert conditions, give a detailed explanation of what the conditions mean, and provide a traceroute for further troubleshooting if the alert condition is network related.
Wireless e-mail alerts are a combination of SMS alerts and E-Mail alerts. We send an e-mail to your internet connected device but keep it short enough to ensure that it is easy to download and compatible with all wireless devices. Wireless E-Mail alerts do not include traceroutes.
Fax alerts will send a one page alert to any North American fax number instantly for each alert trigger. The fax details both the affected URL and any error condition(s) present. A maximum of five faxes will be sent per alert.
Escalated alerts allow you to essentially specify two alert schedules per contact. The first alert schedule gets sent as soon as an alert condition exists. The second alert, what UV Uptime refers to as an escalated alert, triggers different alert methods after a certain amount of failed checks. For example, many clients specify their first alert schedule to notify them via e-mail and SMS and set their escalated alerts to include telephone and fax if the alert condition persists for more than an hour.
